The road is in good shape getting to the trailhead.
The first mile of the trail is wavy from motorcycle use but is easy walking through nice forest.
Starting at about 1.2 miles there are large patches of over growth covering the trail. It is still easy to see where to walk and walk right through but it might be miserable if it is wet. I wish I had taken my pruners.
After reaching the saddle between the two sides of the mountain go right and expect more of a challenge for a short distance before arriving at the large flat top.
The views are amazing!
Mount Rainier, Mount Adams and Mount St Helens are the stars.
It was fun to spot Sunrise Peak which we did 3 weeks ago. The Cispus Valley and the ridges of the Dark Divide are beautiful.
