We stopped at the Canyon Creek Trailhead on Rt. 20 to stretch our legs for an hour. This is where Granite Creek and Canyon Creek merge to form Ruby Creek. Both creeks are crossed early in the hike via sturdy bridges. The Ruby Creek Trail is a pleasant, well maintained and mostly level forest trail. It parallels the creek and the highway, and the creek obscures the highway noise.
