Before You Go

A backcountry permit is required to camp overnight in North Cascades National Park. Walk-up and advance permits are $26 and must be picked up in person at one of the park's Wilderness Information Centers.

Traveling from Marblemount on Highway 20 go past Diablo Lake. After mile marker 138 the large parking area for this hike is on the left.
