Great day to hike Bumping Lake trail. Trail head was packed and so it may be a good idea to park down at the marina and then hike the .9 miles to the trailhead. Lots of people out there but it always seems like you have the trail to yourself. Slight breeze but the forested area was heavy with sweet pine and birdsong. Even though the temperatures were in the mid 70's the water is nice enough to take a dip. The old growth and weather damage is very apparent and it sure would be nice to join in some work crews in this area to clean up the area.
