Ethan & I climbed part way up Baldy on this cool, sunny day. We parked by milepost 10 & climbed the old 2-track that goes up the west ridge. When we got to the step at about 2100' my legs had had enough climbing, so we found some nice rocks in the sun to sit against for lunch. After an hour or so we descended the way we had come. We saw 3 other hikers climbing the mountain today as well as a couple of bird hunters near the summit. The only wildlife we saw were some raptors and ravens.
