There are some snow fields at the halfway point between Longmire and Narada Falls. Lots of tracks overtop and not hard to cross. I brought spikes but didn't use them. I met one party who were not comfortable on the snow and turned back, but encountered lots of other hikers making their way across on my return trip later in the day.
I arrived at the gate around 9:30 am and had only a short wait. The parking lot was nearly full, but still spaces available at the far end. When I left at 2:30 though, I've never seen such a backup at the gate. It was many miles long.
