Del Campo Peak — Sunday, Jul. 24, 2022

Spent three days in Gothic Basin exploring the area, shooting an elopement and climbed Del Campo.
A few challenging snow bridges to navigate on the way in. Conditions changed rapidly from day 1 to day 3. Continuous snow in the basin up to the lake. Many dry campsites around Foggy Lake. Ice axe and crampons used to gain the steep snowfield to the base of the rock. Microspikes would’ve been ok. The first rock bit is very steep with class 4 moves. If you take your time can find a ledge system up. The upper but up the climb had a few challenging moves. The summit provided views of all the volcanoes and North Cascades. A challenging, beautiful scramble. Was excited to finally get up it.
