Trip Report

Bridle Trails State Park — Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

We arrived at the park at 9 and a horse show was in full force.   The parking lot closed to cars, so we parked on the road.   The shoulder of the road provides good parking room for most cars and SUVs.

We hiked two of the three trails:  Cougar and Trillium.  Both trails were in great shape.  They take you through pleasant and serene woods.   We hike this trail system often and always remark at how quiet and peaceful it is even though it's close to the freeway and urban areas.

The trails were relatively empty today.  We encountered only a few trail runners and hikers.   We did have the pleasure of having two beautiful horses pass us.

This is a wonderful, easy to access hiking area that provides a few hours of getaway time in the woods.  We'll be back.
