Bridle Trails State Park — Saturday, Sep. 10, 2022

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

We arrived at the TH parking lot at 9 and had no trouble finding parking in this large, gravel lot.  Note that sometimes there are horse shows or trainings in progress, which happened the last two times this summer we hiked this trail.  During those days, we had to park on the side of the street, not a big deal.  But we were happy to park back in the lot, today.

This trail system is comprised of three main trail loops:  Coyote, Trillium and Raven. We hiked Coyote and Trillium.   The trails take you through very serene and pretty woods, a most pleasant hiking experience!   Three horses passed us on the trails today.  There were very few other hikers or trail runners throughout our hike.

There was a Girl Scout Scavenger Hunt in progress on the trails.  We noticed quite a few signs for loop trails off the main loop trails.   We learned, as we left the trails, that those were for the scavenger hunt.   Very cool, as the girls could earn badges by participating in this nature event.

We'll be back to this gem of a state park.
