Trip Report

Bridle Trails State Park — Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

We arrived at the TH at 9:30 and had no trouble finding parking in this large, dirt lot, which also serves as parking for drivers with horse trailers.

We hiked two of the three loop trails:  Cougar and Trillium.   Both trails are in great shape and meander through peaceful woods.  While there aren't any major viewpoint destinations on the trails, they offer a wonderful opportunity to spend time in serene woods in a close-in, easy to access location.

We encountered many horses on the trails today, about 10 - 12, which is more than we usually see.  It's always a treat to have horses pass us on the trails.  Such magnificent animals.

Hiking the two trails, we logged 6.5 miles and 370' elevation gain.

We'll be back!
