Dry Creek Falls — Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022

Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - OR
Dry Creek Falls on a chilly Saturday morning

While this trail needs a little love to clear trees across the trail (you'll likely go over, under, and next to various blowdowns), it's a nice, relatively shorter, hike to catch a Gorge waterfall. Stark reminders of the Eagle Creek Fire remain on the burned trees along the way. We arrived at the Bridge of the Gods trailhead (restrooms appear to be closed for the season?) just before 8AM and had the trail to ourselves until arriving at the Falls where another pair had already arrived.  It was a chilly 30ish degree morning and the Falls had icicles on the rocks! On the way back, about 9:30AM, the trail was busy with folks, to be expected on an otherwise clear Saturday morning, and the trailhead parking was full with cars circling for spots.
