As of 12/29 the fence is still up at the one mile mark, preventing beach access.
We hiked this before heading to pizza and REI for a quick hour out of the car - easy parking since the beach is closed, but great trail with steps on the way out so it was great to get 2 miles and 400+ feet of gain. It's something else to imagine what Lund's Gulch looked like before it was logged - at least we have the massive stumps to remind of us why conservation is important!
