My husband picked the trail today. As much as I was hoping for an eastern Washington flower hike, I do love Ebey’s Landing. Sunshine and flowers! I got exactly what I was looking for.
We started with a trip to the Pacific Rim Institute in Coupeville. We did a big loop, about 2.5 miles. We listened to the birds singing and enjoyed the flowers and fresh air.
For Ebey's Landing, we started by the cemetery and looped around the prairie, up along the bluff, then down to the beach, making a big counter clockwise loop. I was surprised it wasn’t busier. It was a little crowded by the beach parking lot but not bad on the trail and we had long stretches on the beach with no one around.
The trail on the bluff is very dry. Be careful because the ups and downs can be a little slippery. Lots of flowers and more to come! Happy trails!

WTA please ban all future reports about Ebey's Landing. The hoards of hikers are going to ruin my all time Western Washington hike. Lovely photos and great narrative...

Looks like maybe some of that rare yellow paintbrush at PacRim?
