What a refreshing hike during the heat wave! A nice 4.5+- mile meander through the canopy, and with just a few open spaces and goat rocks, brings you to the shores of the gorgeous waters. Turquoise, blue, clear, warm and refreshing. A bit of fall foliage peaking through and not a bug in sight. Not many hikers on the trail today aside from a handful of backpackers passing on my way out. Stopped for a cold IPA and eats at Packwood Brewery!
