Snow free at the Sunrise lot. Patches of snow not affecting the hike at Sourdough Ridge, with increasing sightings of patches towards Frozen Lake.
Trail is fully covered in compacted, crusty snow shortly after Frozen Lake going uphill. Well textured, the snow wasn’t slippery like ice. I hiked without any poles or traction devices.
Turned around at Second Burroughs.
Returned via First Burroughs and Shadow Lake. Snow free midway downhill from First Burroughs towards Shadow Lake.

Good to hear that the road was reopened. Last week someone posted that it was closed due to snow. The snow really enhances the Burroughs. That little lake in 2nd photo is usually bright blue. Must be silted from recent rain.
