Skookum Flats — Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023

Signage for the turn off 410 is non-existent. If you reach mile marker 51)driving in from Enumclaw), you went too far. Forest service road has a few potholes but very driveable. Arrived at trailhead, first car there. Used an America the Beautiful pass even though the trailhead did not mention which pass. Pit potty available but only two very small rolls of TP. May need to bring your own.  No trash service at this time, pack it in pack it out, however, the trail begins on the opposite side of the road and there is a bear proof garbage can. No rain, just overcast. Trail was wet and muddy, but not overly so. One very small section with water flowing down the trail, one section with a puddle. Both easily passable. No blowdowns despite the wind the day before. Lots of mushrooms!
