Hiking Coyote Wall

Thanks to an extensive planning process in this popular area, this formerly user-created trail has been re-routed and improved to make it enjoyable for hikers and mountain bikers, and sustainable for the land it is on.

Now, hikers can add the Coyote Wall trail into several different loop options including extending their Moab/Maul Loop or the Labyrinth Loop.

Alternately, it's possible to create your own large loop starting on the Old Ranch Road and hiking up to the Atwood trail. Turn left onto Atwood, hich takes you to the top of Coyote Wall, then turning left onto the Little Moab Trail before returning to your starting point.

Before You Go

Mountain bikes have right-of-way at Coyote Wall (a departure from standard trail etiquette but informed by usage and the land manager).
