Sign up for WTA's Families Go Hiking e-newsletter and receive great information about getting kids outdoors.

Later this month, Washington Trails Association will be launching its first Families Go Hiking e-newsletter.

The new e-newsletter initiative will provide families the resources and information they need to get outside with their kids. Readers will enjoy seasonal hike suggestions by Joan Burton (guidebook author of Best Hikes for Kids in Western Washington) and tips to keep kids engaged on their next family adventure.

WTA web editor and mother of two, Susan Elderkin, said, "the newsletter presents a package of useful and timely material to help families get outdoors."

We look forward to sharing information with families across the state and hearing where you are hiking with your kids. Each issue will have a feature of kid-friendly hiking opportunities and a recap of submitted trip reports marked as hiked with kids. Additionally, you will get how-to tips and great advice for planning kid-friendly outdoor adventures.

Whether you are just getting started hiking with your children or have been hiking as a family for years, there is something for every experience level. Look for your Families Go Hiking e-newsletter in your inbox later this month (just in time for spring break).

What? You are not signed up yet? Sign up today to receive great information and be inspired to take your kids outdoors.
