Here's some news you may have missed while out on trail this week.
No pass required: In honor of Veterans Day, state parks and national federal lands will waive parking pass requirements and entry fees on Monday. After this, there’s just one more fee-free day this year; On Nov. 29, state parks won’t require a Discover Pass for parking. And, if you happen to be near the Goldendale Observatory, you can safely watch Mercury cross in front of the sun at the Goldendale Observatory, which recently re-opened. Be sure to call or email in advance.
Wear bright colors: Just a reminder that it’s still hunting season in some areas across the state. When you head out, wear something bright like pink or orange. And be sure to check out our safety tips.
