Ready, set, Hike-a-Thon!
WTA’s 7th Annual Hike-a-Thon is now open and taking participants!
Okay, maybe it’s really “ready, set, register for Hike-a-Thon” but regardless, WTA’s 7th Annual Hike-a-Thon is now open and taking participants!
You know you’re gonna hike in August – you might as well make your miles count!
We've got a great lineup of sponsors to help us kick off Hike-a-Thon 2010. We're especially grateful to this year's presenting sponsor, Mountain Hardwear - Seattle Store, and to The Boeing Company, Hilleberg the Tentmaker and ExOfficio.
So how does this Hike-a-Thon thingy work anyhow? Well…..
First you register online. Then you ask your friends and family to sponsor you for the miles you hike in August. Next, plan your hikes and hike ALL AUGUST LONG! Finally, take home all kinds of awesome gear donated by our generous sponsors. It really is that easy!

Why hike for Hike-a-Thon you ask?
Hiking for Hike-a-Thon means better trails. The dollars raised by Hike-a-Thonners (hopefully we’ll meet our goal of $41,000) will be put to good use this fall on trails such as Lake Serene in the Skykomish Ranger District and Thorp Lake in the Cle Elem Ranger District. Last year the event raised just over $35,000. That’s a lot of new tools, hard hats, and chocolaty treats for trail work volunteers!
So, register today to make your miles count this August. With every hike you take, you’ll be protecting the trails you love!
