We are excited to welcome Jaime Loucky. WTA's new chief impact officer will help us explore new ways to keep trails safe and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

We are excited to welcome Jaime Loucky to Washington Trails Association. Jaime is starting today as WTA’s first chief impact officer. This newly created role will help WTA continue to strengthen and expand the impact of our programs and partnerships, moving us closer to our vision of trails for everyone, forever.

"WTA is growing to respond to the challenges facing Washington’s trails; and the opportunities for hikers to be the solution," said Jill Simmons, WTA's CEO. "Jaime brings a strong strategic skillset and a fresh perspective on how the WTA community can be the champions that trails need. I am looking forward to working with him to continue to shape the future of trails in Washington."

Jaime is an avid hiker and recently completed a yearlong road trip throughout the U.S. with his wife, Laine. They visited 47 National Parks, forests and tribal lands along the way. Jaime comes to us with more than 15 years of experience in the public, nonprofit and private sectors, including six years focused on strategic consulting, first with the Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on nonprofit and public sector strategy, and most recently with Seattle-based firm Artemis Connection, working with small and mid-sized businesses.

"I'm thrilled to be joining such an inspiring organization and I could not be more excited by the opportunity to contribute to WTA's vision of trails for everyone, forever," he said. "Having grown up in Bellingham, I was raised with a deep passion for our state's incredible natural resources. It's a dream to be able to work with such a committed group of individuals and such a passionate community of hikers."

The chief impact officer position will help WTA explore new ways of deepening the impact of our work and how to adapt to the growing challenges facing trails. This senior-level position will focus on planning and programs, working internally and externally to develop new strategies and partnerships to advance WTA's mission.

"I'm excited to bring a long-term, forward-looking approach to amplifying WTA's incredible work. From expanding WTA's important trail maintenance and advocacy efforts to exploring new opportunities that get more people out on trails, I believe that WTA will continue to be a leader in protecting our state's green space and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors."

We hope you will join us in welcoming Jaime as he starts his new adventure here at WTA.
