The WTA team is complete. This summer, Washington Trails Association has welcomed two important new members to our staff—giving us a full house for the first time in a long while.

WTA is thrilled to introduce our new Trail Programs Director, Michael Stubblefield. It has been a long search to find the right person to lead our trail maintenance program, and we've really hit the mark with Michael. He brings a background of more than 30 years in accounting, business management and civil law to WTA, as well as hands-on volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity.

The trail maintenance program will draw on both Michael's passion for the outdoors as well as his extensive and varied business experience. Expect to see him wielding a pulaski at a work party or find him in the office doing all of the important behind-the-scenes work that drives our volunteer efforts.

Readers of the Signpost Blog may already recognize Loren Drummond. She joined WTA as our Digital Content Manager in June. It's a fancy new title for work that three people were doing a year ago. Loren is contributing to and managing WTA's website and blog, social media and monthly e-newsletter (Trail News). By bringing all of our digital content under the wing of one person, we hope to better serve hikers with improvements in the consistency and quality of all our communication tools.

Loren comes to WTA from The Humane Society of the United States, where she was an editor and digital project manager for their online communications team from 2005-2012. We are very excited to have Loren's expertise, her strategic skills and her warm personality in our office, and you will certainly notice all of this on the website, Facebook and Twitter.

Please join us in giving Michael and Loren a big hiker welcome.
