Sycamore Access TH is in a neighborhood and has only two pullout spaces for parking; otherwise, parking is on the ROW (which would probably irritate the neighbors and/or block emergency vehicle access). I followed the route posted in the title of the trip report in a clockwise direction. Even though mid-day on a week day, I encountered groups of hikers but only in the vicinity of Summit trail and Phil's Creek trail. From Sycamore Access TH, the trail starts off steep with no switchbacks for 0.3 miles until reaching East Ridge trail which switch-backs up the ridge to the junction with Phil's Creek trail (1300' gain in 2 miles) for a good workout. My goal for this trip was to visit Phil's cabin which I'd unknowingly hiked by many a time. Thanks to previous trip reporter for posting its story (see link to story). Disappointed to see vandalism and scattered trash at what was clearly a labor of love.
Note: For the pictures, I took my dog off-leash.
