Trip Report
Teneriffe Falls, Mount Teneriffe — Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012

It was cold and rainy, about 10am and 35 degrees. The trailhead is located about 2 miles past the Little Si trailhead parking lot. It is a gravel road on the left (right by the bus turnaround).
After parking, we made our way through the blue gate that protects an old logging road. This road goes for about a mile, then we hit a fork in the road. You can go straight or right and there are no signs to help. You'll wanna go right.
The trail was relatively easy until we hit the first couple of switchbacks. The trail is mostly rocks that were covered in frozen rain (hail). It was pretty slippery. It was really cool because the trail would switch in and out of the tree-covered areas and mountain views.
The trail reached a small waterfall and got really steep. It only lasts a couple of steps, then it evens out.
The waterfall at the end was really nice. Snow falling and water rushing. The trail actually continues up further right next to the falls and it was really icy. All in all, this rainy hike was a great option for the first of the year!
