Whistler Canyon Trail — Saturday, Mar. 3, 2012

Eastern Washington > Okanogan Highlands/Kettle River Range
BCHW Okanogan chapter has developed the trail - one of their new signs. TMurray
Whistler Canyon Trail is a part of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail. This 12 mile trail is located 3 miles south of Oroville WA, and connects to the Wilcox Mtn trailhead. The trail offers many links and loops that will provide vistas of the Okanogan River and Pasayten Wilderness no matter what your experience level. The trail is excellent for hikers and equestrians with some challenging areas for rock climbers. This is a Big Horn Sheep area and the best choice for wildlife photography. In addition to the sheep, mule deer, bear, marmot, and wild turkey are often sighted. The lower elevations dry out early, making this a popular spot for hiking and Rock Climbing.
You might wish you brought a camera. TMurray

Whistler Canyon Trail

Hi Striker, could you provide any details about overnight/multi-day camping facilities, were conditions good enough for overnighting it?
