Trip Report

Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Willard Springs Trail — Monday, Feb. 16, 2015

South Cascades > Mount Adams Area
Beginning of the Willard Springs Trail
We hiked the 1.2 miles to the viewing platform. We saw 4 tundra swan in the distance and saw and heard many geese flying and landing in the distance. No other birds were seen or heard which was disappointing, but the area was beautiful and green and the lake was higher than we had ever seen it. We did see a herd of elk when driving one of the refuge roads.
