Trip Report
Franklin Falls, Franklin Falls - Winter — Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017
Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Arrived at the overpass at 10am. There were about 10 cars parked there. Almost immediately after the road closure we put on our microspikes & they sure were helpful. I was quite surprised that the majority of people we saw did not have any kind of traction devices. When we arrived at the falls there were three other people there & shortly after that we had the falls to ourselves which was pretty cool. The trail is compact snow & ice & the section leading down into the falls is extremely icy & could be dangerous without traction devices. We made it back to the car around 2 and there were probably 30 cars parked along the road. With the extra distance to the falls because of the road closure we clocked in at just under 7 miles roundtrip.
