Grew up in the Midwest, joined the US Air Force for six years, became a meteorologist, worked abroad in such locations as South Korea, McMurdo Station Antarctica, and Kuwait. Love to travel, spend time with my wife, and now that I'm living in the Pacific Northwest I've fallen in love with hiking. Other notable experiences include hiking several multi-day treks in New Zealand, climbing Mt. Toubkal in Morocco, trekking through Petra, Jordan, and spending time in Germany (especially Bavaria and Oktoberfest). Other hobbies include SCUBA diving, running, cycling, and playing guitar. My goal as of right now is to climb Mt. Ranier by 2017. And I look forward to exploring as much of the PNW as possible!
