Belfair State Park is a well-maintained park open year-round that offers primitive, standard and full hookup campsites (including accessible sites), 8 cabins, 3 hiker/ biker sites, and a Cascadia Marine Trail campsite. Restrooms with flush toilets, running water and showers are available (including accessible showers).
For day use, turn left after passing the entrance station. There is a large parking area adjacent to the playground and large reservable kitchen shelter, from the southeast corner of which the 0.3 mile trail starts (or ends, depending on your direction).
The gravel trail heads southeast towards the water before turning west, going around the Beach Loop campsites and providing several points for beach access. It narrows slightly as it heads northwest to meet up with the road around the Main Loop.
There is an additional short trail to the water (about 380 feet one-way) that leaves from the southwest corner of the Tree Loop (which is closed to camping during the winter but open for hiking and biking).
WTA Pro Tip: If you’d like to add on more mileage, consider taking the 8-minute drive over to the Mary E. Theler Wetlands Nature Preserve for another easy 3.5 miles of trails and boardwalks – no pass required!
