Hiking Blowout Mountain

Start in a large clearcut, then climb into a timbered area and follow switchbacks that take you to the top of the mountain.

Descend along the ridgeline into a saddle, then switchback uphill onto a shoulder ridge of Blowout Mountain and end at the Pacific Crest Trail. Only the last quarter-mile of the trail, from Manastash Ridge to the Pacific Crest Trail, is closed to motorized use.
