Hiking Deschutes Falls Park

Check out the 25-foot Deschutes Falls from a viewing deck with railing, as well as plenty of native flora and fauna, on a trip to this 155-acre park. There is also a historic log cabin to explore.

Note that due to the area's minimal development, many of the paths may have steep or undeveloped parts, and may be more difficult to navigate for those with limited mobility.

Getting There

From Yelm, follow E Yelm Ave/Highway 507 southeast to Five Corners, then head south on Bald Hill Rd SE. In 5 miles, turn left to stay on Bald Hill Rd SE. In 9.3 miles, the parking lot will be on your left. There is limited parking here. Please note that there is a private residence next to the parking lot.

The park is open from 9 a.m. to dusk year-round.
