Hiking Jones Island Trail

Jones Island is a beautiful State Park located in the San Juan Islands that contains two remarkable trails that circumnavigate the entire island.

Jones Island is accessible only by boat and is located directly south of the west side of Orcas Island. From the dock, there is a beautiful view of Turtleback Mountain on Orcas - WTA's most recent new trail in the San Juans!

Explored the stunning mile-long East Trail, packed with wildlife and beach views.

It's twin, the West Trail, is equally if not more remarkable. It is longer and includes more ups and downs than the East Trail, and some of the trail hangs directly above the sharp rocky shoreline!

The island includes three nice campgrounds, fresh water, outhouses, a friendly ranger, and lots of raccoon. Keep all food in big plastic boxes.
