Hiking Kelley Creek

While it used to be possible to follow a trail from here to the top of Scorpion Mountain, the access to Kelley Creek has changed.

Hikers are now recommended to start at the access point near the Iron Goat trailhead just off Highway 2. This offers a nearly six-mile roundtrip hike with just 1100 feet of elevation gain. Ambitious hikers can navigate to Scorpion Mountain from the new access point, but the way has not been maintained and requires navigation experience.
