Before You Go

A backcountry permit is required to camp overnight in North Cascades National Park. Walk-up and advance permits are $26 and must be picked up in person at one of the park's Wilderness Information Centers.

Getting There

Highway 20 to Colonial Creek campground at Milepost 130. Turn into the main campground on the south side of the highway. Proceed to the Thunder Creek trailhead near the Amphitheater. Follow this trail about 300 yards to the trail junction on your right.
