South Tiger Mountain Loop — Monday, Jan. 20, 2020

Absolutely beautiful day on this loop! We got to the trailhead around 10am,, less than ten other cars parked along the street. My trail app calculated 7.5 miles hiked for the whole loop, it took us about 3.5 hours. We completed the loop in the counterclockwise direction, and would have had a stunning view of Tahoma if the clouds had cleared. We did not take any of the roads to the summit, we had gotten a little bored of road walking by the time we came to the split between continuing down on the trail or continuing up the road to the summit. The trail is beautiful, never very steep. The logged section is not long, great place for a break actually. Trail was in great condition, no major obstacles, a little muddy but not very wet. Will definitely be back again to see this trail again in the spring.
