Schmitz Preserve Park — Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

I decided to go to Schmitz Park since it's in my neighborhood, and I haven't been there since all the storms. The trails were in pretty good condition. There were some fallen trees as expected that are on the side trails, but you can walk around them. There's also some mud on trails, but also easy to bypass.

This is such a great urban hike and so quiet! There are quite a few trails to explore, and I only saw a few other people. My dog and I clocked three miles with almost 300 feet of elevation gain. Be sure to look for the alligator tree!
