Spruce Railroad Trail — Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020

trail in great condition ..at the first tunnel take the trail around it so u can view the bowel.. beautiful blue water .. hiked a rt or 12.5. at 4 miles out u hit the paved road on the upper trail but take the lower trail along the lake .much better..at mile 6 the trail branches for a rt 7.5 mile up pyramid mt.. this was out plan for a 19 mile rt .. however got stuck in a hail storm then sun then hail ..crazy .. at this 6 mile junction their is a great deck out into the lake with picnic tables and great views. if you came from the 101 side you could park there then do pyramid and come back and hike some extra miles along the lake ..this is what we will do next time ..
