Did a quick hike this morning up to where the natural gas pipeline crosses the PCT (past Gillette Lake but before the overlook). The previously mentioned fallen tree has been removed and it looks like some drainage work has been done recently. It's still soggy in spots, but not at all bad. It is, after all, still only March. I took a photo of the worst spot.
I got there at 7:15 and saw my first fellow hiker on my way back, around 9:30. Around 10:30, I passed about 8 people about half a mile from the trailhead.
The toilets are unlocked, clean, and stocked with TP but no sanitizer.
