A very nice Sunday morning when my Spouse and me set out to ride the Steilacoom-Anderson Island ferry. It was our first experience riding the Ferry to/fro Anderson Island. And the very helpful and cheerful Ferry Ticketing Office staff and Ferry crew makes the ride all the more enjoyable - thank y'all.
When we arrived at the Andy's Marine Park trailhead ~10:30, we noticed that we were the only one there. We spent (total) time of ~1+ hr in the Park - the ~2+ mile loop-walk to the Beach,on the Sand-Spit and Beach, and then back to the trailhead. It's just before we got back to the trailhead that we met a young couple with their 1 baby and 1 infant; they on their way in to the Park.
The Park and its trails: (Red) Marine Park Trail, (Green) Service Road & Trail, and (Blue) Lower Lagoon Lower Trail - are all very well maintained and signed. Its the latter 2 trails where there are ~5 muddy sections (though all which are passable). The Park woods is peaceful and quiet, with the occasional birds singing, and insects chirpings.
We went exploring the Sand Spit and Beach hoping to find and see the "sand dollars" (that was mentioned in a recent WTA Hiker's Trip Report). However, we can't find any "sand dollars"; probably, because we did not go to the correct location where these were seen. Anyway, that's alright, we can try our luck with the "sand dollars" next time.
From reading the history of the Park, i am thankful to Mr Andrew Anderson, who in 1975 donated the original 37 acres of the Park, the 1987 ALEA grant, and 1997 Conservation Futures Grant - their generosity giving everyone, including me - the opportunity to enjoy the Park. Thank you all.

The tide might have been a bit too high to see the sand dollars, but it's also possible that all evidence of the mass-die off has disappeared by now.
