Did an out-and-back along the west side of Lake Wynoochee from Camp Coho to Maidenhair Falls. It's a long, rolling hike (16 miles round trip) with views of the lake along the way. There are a few EXTREMELY slippery log bridges with missing handrails that we had to inch our way across. One sits about 15 feet above the ground. Fall here, and you're guaranteed some broken bones! Exercise caution! Also, 1.5 miles in, at Scatter Creek, there is no bridge. The creek is only about 10 feet wide and not very deep, but Instead of fording it, we backtracked a little ways to a fallen tree that we climbed over to get across. We then had to scramble up a not-too-steep bluff (maybe 20 feet high) to get back to the trail. Other than that, the trail is in relatively good condition. The falls aren't spectacular, but it was just nice to get out in nature.
