Puget Sound and Islands
After a really, really crummy week at work, I fell in love with Rainier all over again

I am shamelessly stealing Lazy Boots ' idea of posting 4 photos from hikes/ locations in Washington that have meant something special to me and my family.  I've been reflecting a lot lately on places I've been and things I've seen; trying to take this time to actually catch up on the Trail Journal I try to keep on my travels (which tends to have lots of information on the planning side of things, not as much on the after the trip follow up side).  We really are incredibly fortunate to live in an area that is not only gorgeous but that has such a phenomenal community of hikers and environmental supporters.  Thank you to everyone who puts in the time, effort, money, supplies, etc to make this area such a great one!!

What has become a yearly birthday backpacking trip with my Mom to Second Beach
Where my brother proposed to my sister-in-law
The awesome healing power of nature

Lazy Boots on My Backyard

I love this and I can relate to it all. From the ocean to the mountains we are beyond lucky. Love the St helens pic (I think I too same one...lol) and I think I am going to add one of these posts monthly just to remind myself to appreciate the simple. It is not over rated. Thank you again for posting suck awesome pics.
