My Backyard — Sunday, Apr. 26, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands

Our backyard consists of a garden in front of our house and a back garden: our backyard.  When we moved into our new house, decades ago, it had grass in the front garden and back garden and a brand new house.  We moved to it from just a few blocks away, with a rental van and a group of our hiking friends.  Before we sold that house, we marked all the trees and shrubs we planned to dig up and plant at the new house.  After we moved into our new house, the new owners of our old house asked why we did not take any plants or shrubs to our new house:  they saw no gaps in the garden!  The builder of our new house was amused that no sooner did he have grass rolled out on our property that we dug up much of it to plant the stuff we brought from the old house.  I like to take photos of flowers so we have lots.   See my link to photos in the full report section below.

I thought I labelled all my flower photos. The most spectacular blue flowers are mountain flowers: gentians!

Nice! So gorgeous. You’re way more of a gardener than I am!
