Sharpe Park - Sares Head, Deception Pass State Park - Headlands / Rosario Head / Lighthouse Point — Friday, May. 15, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
Stonecrop on Machin Overlook.

The parking lot at Sharpe Park was nearly full and there were more than the usual amount of hikers but everyone was was very considerate of others space.

I was there for the stonecrop so when my hiking partner continued on to Sares Head I took the Broom Tomb Trail up to Machin Overlook. I think the plants were at their peak about a week ago but they were still impressive and I'm glad I got to see them. I joined my partner at Sares Head for a bite eat and take in the views in the clearing skies. After Sharpe Park we headed to Rosario Head. Lots of people were there also to enjoy walking around or having a picnic.

Perhaps we saw you at the very top bench about 11am? My friend and I were sitting on the bench seat and you came up with a camera?

I think I was up there around noon, so I'm not sure it was me. There were a small group and some couples at Sares Head when I arrived. It was a great day there.
