There were only 3 cars in the parking lot (it is open now) around 8am and by the time we returned the lot was completely full. Trail was in great condition. We brought spikes just in case, but the snow was fine for walking on. Poles were nice on the steep snow-covered slopes in a couple open areas and snow was consistent last 3/4-1mi up to the lake.

Great report ! - Just curious, how deep was the snow? Just poles are enough?

Yes! Poles are just fine. There were many who didn't have poles, but I prefer poles for extra stability.

Thanks so much!! I hear the lat 0.5 mi is tricky in terms of route finding? Did you have any issues?

We did not have any issues. People went different ways, but it was fairly straight forward. We might have paused for a few seconds but it was pretty easy to see. I also use Gaia and downloaded the map prior to going so that was helpful too.
