We arrived at Longmire about 10:15. Since it was the first day the park was open, the parking lot was deserted! The Visitors Center, the National Park Inn & the bathrooms were all closed. I’m sure they will be opening soon. There were porta potties near the parking lot. It was not a dry day. There was rain off & on,& we were in the clouds much of the time. The trail was in excellent condition, no obstacles to climb over, & not muddy. There were some snow patches to cross, but they were not a problem. We brought spikes along, but didn’t need them. We only saw about 12 others on the trail until we were almost finished. Several people had masks. After the hike, the gift shop was open. Overall, it was a great wet day!
