Training hike for a thru-hike. This bugger is steep and will make the calves burn for a few days. Had a 9-year old with us and she was able to make the hike slow and steady.
We had rain most of the way up but it was never impassable or overly concerning for slippage in our boots. Gave us a good test of the rain gear and our efforts paid off with an eastern view of Seattle in the distance below the cloud line.
The trail itself is filled with rocks/roots, was clearly labeled, and reached the top as one of three options to get there. There are camping areas near the top but we were there for the day-hike mileage and left.
