I started the trail around 1pm from Sunrise Point. The trail is in good condition. Right before getting to the peak, there is a snow field to cross, the trail itself veers left into the woods and can be easy to miss. Don't attempt going up on the ridgeline on the snowfield as it has a great slope and has many dangers. I marked where the trail is on one of the images for clarification. The mountain was hiding behind the clouds so I didn't get to see Rainier but still got great views from the ridge and from top.

so the entrance to the trail head is open now? did you use the sunrise access? to get there?
is there a lot of snow to worry about or it should be just fine?

Yes Sunrise entrance is open. The only snow crossing is towards the top as shown in the photo but not difficult to cross.
