This is a great hike. The mountains were beautiful this time of year still with snow and the river you hike along is beautiful. Once you get to the red building, these are the most of what is left but if you continue up the trail you will see a few more old buildings and the remains of the Ore Concentrator which is pretty cool. One thing to note is that the trailhead can get pretty crowded and while you should park at Barlow Pass make sure to walk across the street from the Barlow Pass parking lot and find the gates that lead to the old mining road.
