This was a nice, relatively short hike from Sunrise. Judging by the other pictures I've seen it offers excellent views on clear days. Unfortunately we were more or less walking in a cloud by the time we go to the lookout. Still the hike itself was interesting, we saw several marmots, and even witnessed one doing some form of warning scream to warn its friends of a fox that was stalking the area. This is the second of four lookouts in Mt Rainier NP that I've been to and both times they've been swallowed by fog. I'm starting to think I'm destined to never get a good closeup view of this mountain.
