Trip Report

Greider Lakes — Sunday, Jul. 19, 2020

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Set off from the parking lot at 8am on a sunny Sunday morning. Only a handful of cars there. Made it to the first Greider Lake in about 3 hours. There were a couple of downed trees on the trail, but nothing that was too difficult to step over/around. The trail was a little bit muddy at the top, nothing crazy. Bugs were not too bad at either lake as far as I could notice, that or they just didn't bother me. Tried to do a bit of fly fishing at Big Greider Lake, got a couple bites, but probably the wrong time of day for that. I would have done better with a raft as shore access for fishing is fairly limited. Made it back down in about 2 hours. Saw about 20 people total at the lake and on my way back down. Overall a good hike, with some decent tree cover for a hot day.
